Why we started
Booking sites will tell you a hotel “has a pool”. They rarely tell you whether it’s heated, whether there’s a shallow end for a toddler, what the height rule is on the big slide, or whether water park passes come with the room. Parents end up asking in forums and Facebook groups, and the answers are often years out of date.
Family Pool Hotels puts those details on one page per hotel, so you can compare properly and book with fewer surprises.
What we cover
- Indoor water park hotels: park size, slides and their height rules, wave pools, lazy rivers, surf simulators, toddler areas and whether passes are included.
- Hotels with indoor pools: heated or not, pool slides, kids’ pools and zero-depth entry, hot tubs, pool hours, age rules and free breakfast.
- Drive times: estimates from nearby cities, so you can plan a weekend that works.
We’re starting with Wisconsin, home of the Wisconsin Dells, and adding more cities and states over time.
How we work
Every fact comes from a source we can point to: the hotel’s own website, its brand page, an official tourism listing or a major booking site. Each hotel page lists those sources. If a hotel doesn’t publish something, we say “Not published” rather than guess. You can read more in how we collect our data.
Independent
We’re not owned by a hotel group or booking site, and hotels can’t pay to be listed or to rank higher. Lists are ordered by the facts, such as water park size or what the pool offers kids. See how we make money.
